We are looking forward to holding concerts in Wesley of Warragul when the COVID-19 embargo is lifted whenever that might be.
Meanwhile we have some exciting news which includes:
-
the repair of the western wall fronting Victoria Street. We were fortunate to receive $8,000 from Bendigo Bank towards crack repairs and a repaint of the wall which will take place next summer. This will be a welcoming face for the old building.
-
a new broader style of concert presentation.
-
new opportunities for back room hire.
Concerts planned include those cancelled when the embargo hit:
-
Simply Music’s Robert Stolz Society, A Sunday Afternoon in Vienna
-
Joan Evans, cello, Bach Alone
-
West Gippsland Chorale
-
Julia Hastings, Piano
-
Latrobe Chorale
-
Brian Chapman, Piano and Nathan Lay, Baritone
-
Melbourne Chamber Orchestra, Sheer Bliss
-
Latrobe Chorale
-
Ken Schroder, Jazz
Even with the lockdown weddings remain popular with five attending. Check out some of the lovely minimalist photos!
A beautiful tradition continued when Renee Patrick recently married Jordan Kitts becoming the fourth generation in her family to marry in Wesley. We wish all our newly married couples Wesley Blessings!
